Lexington offers day and overnight boarding. Veterinarian supervision during the day and an overnight technician provide constant monitoring during your pet’s stay. Our dedicated kennel staff is trained to handle pets on medications or with special health care needs. A doctor will be alerted immediately should our staff detect any problem or concern. We provide Science Diet puppy, kitten, adult, and prescription food, as well as bedding and enrichment toys at no additional cost.
Our canine friends relax in indoor, temperature-controlled kennels. All dogs are walked three times daily in our large, fenced-in backyard where they can enjoy exercise and attention from our kennel assistant. Dogs in the same family can share a kennel to socialize with each other. Dogs are fed twice daily, unless different feeding instructions are provided. An additional walk or extra playtime can be added for an additional fee. A playtime is one-on-one time, off-leash, with only your dog and a kennel assistant in our backyard.
Lexington takes pride in being a feline-friendly facility, and so we offer our feline friends condos in a dedicated room on a separate hospital floor from our canine kennels. Each condo is equipped with a scratching post and a recessed litterbox, and also has at least 2 “rooms” with the option to expand into a second level as space allows. Cats in the same family can share a condo with adjacent enclosures to socialize with each other as they wish! Cats are fed twice daily, unless different feeding instructions are provided.
Please fill out and submit our boarding form in advance of your boarding reservation.
Exotic Animal Boarding
We offer boarding for birds, rabbits, guinea pigs, reptiles, and other pocket pets. Habitats (cages, tanks, etc.), food, and supplies (bedding, heat lamps, toys, etc.) must be brought from home.
Boarding with Medical Supervision
A separate intensive care unit separates our medical patients from our boarding facilities. The glass enclosure keeps the area quiet while allowing our doctors and technicians to monitor the patients at all times. Diabetic, seizure, and critical care patients are boarded in ICU with 24 hour medical supervision.
